Every year, BBBSLA impacts more 1,500 youth through five unique mentoring programs that serve children and youth in their communities, schools, and in the workplace. By building a strong, one-to-one and professionally-supported mentoring relationship to serve as a foundation for transformative impact and life skills learning, BBBSLA’s innovative approaches to expanding mentoring opportunities help to close both the achievement and opportunity gaps that exist for too many underserved children and youth.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) hosted its annual Accessories for Success Spring Scholarship Luncheon at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Beverly Hills presented by City National Bank and TLC.  The afternoon honored Nancy Daniels, President & General Manager, TLC with the “Excellence in Mentoring Award” and Stephen Galloway, Executive Editor, Features, The Hollywood Reporter with the “Innovator Award.” Actress and fashion icon Amber Valletta returns as host. Laura Lizer, BBBSLA Board Chair; Rebecca Campbell; Nancy Taylor; Nina Shaw; Kate Nichols; Sandra Stern; Nicole Lorey and Loyola Marymount University are Honorary Co-Chairs.  Prior to the luncheon, luxury accessories boutique vendors featured fashionable accessories for purchase with a portion of proceeds from sales donated to BBBSLA. Host Erin Mooney interviews Mindy Kaling, Amber Valletta, Nate Berkus, Jeremiah Brent, Nancy Daniels, Ryan Caplette, Darius King, Tiffany Siart, Lyrik, Travis Van Winkle, Stephen Galloway & Kelly Sullivan
